Whenever there is a new release from Nolimit City we get really excited, but probably for a different reason than some players would. Their choice of themes and the way they present their slots make them stand out, so with a fully curious mind, we are looking at the Evil Goblins slot. We are not entirely over the disturbing Mental slot, but it seems like Nolimit City have taken it down a notch with Evil Goblins. From all the fantasy creatures, goblins have a reputation of being green, small, unintelligent and quite ugly, certainly not the best properties to have. They are also often viewed with humour, as they are not necessarily feared or respected. That doesn’t mean that these nasty creatures haven’t hidden away some treasure, so you bet, that we are in search of all riches that they have hoarded.
Without getting into too many details just yet, Evil Goblins seems like a slot, that’s quite similar to Fire in the Hole. Both slots share some presentation and gameplay similarities, but you shouldn’t view Evil Goblins just as some cheap knockoff. Like any Nolimit City slot, it’s full of payout opportunities that come from wonderful bonus features, so if you love Nolimit City slots for their potential, then Evil Goblins is no different. We’re not entirely sure what have the little green fellas prepared for us, so let’s head down the cave together.

Evil Goblins Slot Review
Gameplay and Payouts
From all the latest Nolimit City slots, Evil Goblins shares the most with Fire in the Hole. Both slots take place underground and both games have this heavy, thumping soundtrack, which we did enjoy before. The visual presentation isn’t the flashiest performance we’ve seen from Nolimit City, but it’s quite atmospheric nonetheless. Two torches light up the dim cave. We can see a couple of bags of gold lying around and also bones, which may belong to previous adventures such as ourselves. Evil Goblins comes with a peculiar 6 by 3 game layout, which can be extended with bonus features.
The same principle applies to paylines, which can go over 729 thanks to the xBomb mechanism. We rarely say anything negative about Nolimit City visual presentation, but low symbols are a bit boring. These are simple 10-A symbols, presented on a stone tablet. Five high symbols though have a bit more personality as these are the five Evil Goblins. Each goblin has an interesting and distinctive look, but the most notable of them is the goblin king, which is the highest value regular symbol. The individual symbol values are quite low, so the Evil Goblin slot relies on bonus features to produce payouts. A scary goblin skull is the Wild symbol of the Evil Goblin slot.
As another xBomb slot, Evil Goblins comes with explosive wins. Nolimit City slots have some insane potentials, so it’s already guaranteed that Evil Goblins is capable of some staggering payouts. It feels even inappropriate to say, but Evil Goblins comes with one of the lowest max wins we’ve seen lately from Nolimit City. We are still talking about 31,969x max win, which crushes the majority of outside competition. I guess we are so used to seeing these crazy numbers, that even win such as this seems on the low side, which, obviously, it is not. Evil Goblins uses a bet range of 0.20 – 100.
On their own, Wilds don’t do much, as they function as regular substitutors. On the other hand, if you land 3 Dead Wilds then they become Resurrection Wild symbols. The last Wild to land also comes with a massive multiplier. If you have landed 3, 4 or 5 Wilds in total, this multiplier is 11x, 33x or 55x respectively.
Swiftly moving through the Evil Goblin bonus features, next up we got Goblin Sacrifice. On each new spin, goblins will pop up above the reels. To trigger this feature, match the goblin on top with a symbol on that reel below. When this happens, the goblin throws a grenade at his symbol, turning it into a wild. If you manage to match all four goblins at once, then the Evil 4 feature is triggered. The matching goblin will sit on top of the 1st reel with a multiplier of 4x or higher. This multiplier increases with each new matching goblin appearing on the top reel.
Just like Fire in the Hole, Evil Goblins is an xBomb slot. The xBomb symbols explode, removing all adjacent symbols, except scatters and Wilds. It also increases the winning multiplier by 1x. Each xBomb symbol adds another row, which can extend up to 7 in total. The xBomb symbol triggers the cascade mechanism, which allows the continuous flow of wins.
Moving on to the biggest Evil Goblins bonus features, we got Fresh Meat Free Spins, which are triggered by 3 or 4 scatters. This rewards 8 or 9 Free Spins respectively. On Fresh Meat Free Spins, you are guaranteed to have Dead Wilds on each spin, and an increased chance to trigger Goblin Sacrifice and xBomb features. If you land 3-4 scatters with 2 xBombs simultaneously then Explosive Fresh Meat Free Spins are triggered. These work the same way as the regular Fresh Meat Free Spins, but they come with a guaranteed xBombs on every spin.
Last but not least, the grand display of Evil Goblins. Landing 3 scatters and triggering Evil 4 at once will activate the Goblins Feast Spins feature. In the beginning, you will be given 4 spins, which reset with every matching goblin. This will also increase the multiplier by 1x. The goblins remain in their position for the rest of the feature.
Using the bonus buy option, various features can be bought straight away. For example, Fresh Meat Spins cost 60x while Goblin Feast Spins go for 300x.
We’ve had so many crazy slots from Nolimit City, that Evil Goblins seems so tame and basic. Of course, that is not the case, as this slot is full of winning opportunities and bonus features. The closest slot to it is Fire in the Hole, which we think still is a bit better, but Evil Goblins doesn’t trail too far behind. With all the wild theme ideas, it’s actually quite nice to play slots such as Evil Goblins from time to time. Even though Evil Goblins is not the craziest member of the family, it’s still a wonderful slot, which we fully enjoyed.
