Even though this is a sequel, we have to look at it as a new independent game. House of Doom 2 definitely portrays that hardcore metal look. Devilish would be a good way to describe the looks of it. Once again, purple colour dominates the design while metal music plays in the background. If you enjoy this genre of music then feel free to turn that volume up a bit, as these songs will get you fired up. The graphical improvements haven’t been huge, but House of Doom 2 The Crypt looks a tad bit better.
The symbols of the game have also been revamped. New symbols of House of Doom 2 are a little bit more family-friendly, for a lack of a better word. No longer we got goat skulls and barbed crosses, as the high symbols, also known as Ritual Relic symbols have been switched out by Knives, Nightshade, Candles and Skull. Low symbols still are 10 – A, sporting the same style as before. House of Doom 2 The Crypt comes with the regular 5 x 3 layout, which packs 20 paylines.
