We can’t help but to compare both game versions, how else you will understand if the new Megaways version truly is better? From a visual standpoint, there have been few changes, as it still is the same festive street somewhere in the heart of Mexico. The quality on Chilli Heat Megaways seems a bit better, but that’s what you would expect from a 3-year gap. We especially enjoyed the festive background music, although it could have been more authentic, perhaps, a bit more of that mariachi style.
Clearly, most of us are here for one reason and that’s Megaways. The layout now consists of 6 reels and 2-8 Rows. Previously we had to use a 5 by 3 layout, so this one is definitely more exciting. Thanks to Megaways, the payline amount skyrockets up to 200,704. On Chilli Heat Megaways, the symbols can appear in a larger 2-row size, which is also visually more appealing. Speaking of visuals, all the previous symbols are brought over to the new Chilli Heat Megaways slot. At your disposal, we once more have 10 regular symbols. The typical 9-A are a bit boring, but the shot of tequila, chilli, mariachi dog and man help to create this wonderful atmosphere. You almost wish you were there.

The potential is much better and the graphics have seen an improvement, but perhaps more could have been done for this to be called a really strong remake.
