Design and Gameplay
Don’t be too surprised if Cat Wilde and the Doom of Dead looks very familiar. Play’n GO were inspired by games such as Legacy of Dead and other slots from Rich Wilde series. It is very visible, as some of the symbols and visuals are taken from previous titles, most notably the overall look that resembles Book of Dead and the symbols that are taken from Rise of Dead. For some this is a nice dose of nostalgia, for others a display of laziness, you be the judge.
Cat Wilde and the Doom of Dead is a smooth ride, everything works as it should, this shouldn’t come off as a surprise, as Play’n GO is not a provider that struggles with quality. This slot doesn’t bring in anything groundbreaking, it’s more of a remastered version for the classical title.

It’s quite obvious that the slot market is oversaturated with Ancient Egypt themed games, so perhaps it would be for the best if upcoming games in the Wilde series would take us somewhere new. We were on a good path with games like Tome of Madness and Shield of Athena. Putting this aside, Cat Wilde and the Doom of Dead is a heroic sequel, or should we say a quality remaster to the classical Book of Dead slot. Experienced players and newcomers alike will have some good moments on this one.
