Odd, strange and peculiar are some of the words that can describe the Miss Wildfire slot. It’s almost like things got mixed up in the studios of ELK, as what we see on the screen doesn’t completely fit with the story that we know. It may be a dramatic story, but the visuals are anything but, as one of the main things we see straight away is smiling wooden logs. Perhaps the strangest element is the background music which creates this tense and ominous feeling, at the same time mixing in some Techno bits with the voices of opera lady. Interestingly enough, it all sort of works together. Miss Wildfire slot reels occupy most of the screen, so Edgar Woodart’s lab is just barely seen in the background.
Miss Wildfire symbols give us a larger insight into the setting of the slot. The lowest value symbol is the smiling wooden log, which we mentioned already, but this symbol has another purpose so keep that in mind while we go further. Besides that, we have 10-A low symbols, which are styled almost as stone runes, presumably having something to do with alchemy. On high-value symbols, we got a water prism, a cube with a flower and some red gems, which again are somehow related to alchemy, although all of this makes you feel like some wizardry is actually involved. Looking across the stats, Miss Wildfire seems like a bit of a hit or miss. There is nothing particular that piques our interest, but in general, these are good payouts that should suffice for the average player. Let us finally reveal the purpose of the wooden logs and the name of the game. Miss Wildfire is a walking wild symbol, which jumps to the left side on every new spin. In its path, Miss Wildfire can cause Wildfire if a wooden log is located horizontally or vertically next to her. This log or logs will catch fire and turn into wilds. Just like the real wildfire, the flames can spread to other nearby logs, creating additional wilds. A special Super Miss Wildfire symbol additionally keeps all non-burning logs sticky.
Free Spins are triggered by 3 or more bonus symbols. You will start with 1, 2, 3 or 4 Miss Wildfire symbols, which is determined by the amount of scatters you get, so 3, 4, 5 or 6 respectively. Miss Wildfire symbols will appear on the right side and on each spin they will jump a place further. You will also spot a counter on the right side of reels. This tracks how many logs you have collected. Collecting a certain amount will upgrade the low pay symbol to a log. Miss Wildfire takes us on a strange journey. It definitely is an odd mix of presentation and theme, but altogether it works, in a weird way. Actually, due to the unusual gameplay, the slot becomes more fun and unpredictable. Without the bonus features, the main game might dry up quite fast, but if you are scoring bonus features frequently, then Miss Wildfire provides a really good dose of entertainment. If you prefer laid back slots, then the flames of Miss Wildfire might seem too intense and obnoxious, but otherwise, it’s good fun.
