They say that diamonds are the women's best friend, but that doesn't mean that everyone can't get a piece of them. For such reasons, Red Tiger is giving us a chance to find our own precious stones on Diamond Blitz. This slots surface look suggests that this is a straight-up classical slot, but it comes with some features that make the Diamond Blitz slot a lot more than a simple fruit machine.
Diamond Blitz will come with some divided opinions, as math model and payouts are quite….uninspiring. If you take a quick look, then the low 500x payout combined with equally low 93% RTP will make you feel discouraged, but, before you make any quick assumptions, hear out the full offer of Diamond Blitz and, perhaps, you're thoughts will turn for 180 degrees.
Diamond Blitz Review
Game Layout: 5 Reels x 4 Rows
Design and Payouts
We all know that fruit machines aren't the most visually impressive slots, they all follow a similar design style, making small graphical adjustments, that separate these games from each other. Diamond Blitz, just like the diamond, has a shiny look to it. The design is very neat and clean, so Red Tiger has done a positive job on Diamond Blitz slot. It has some Art Deco elements to it, which have often gone great with anything casino related.
There are 10 symbols on Diamond Blitz if you include the Wild. Lowest of them are the fruit symbols like a Cherry, Lemon, Grape and Watermelon. Additionally to the traditional Bar, Bell and Seven symbols come the Horseshoe and a Star, each of them styled equally well. Diamond Blitz Wild symbol is the teal coloured Diamond. With the extra added row, you should have some fair chance to line up these symbols for some good wins. Besides looking nice and shiny, the Diamond Wilds fulfil some additional functions, which again, should provide you with a better winning chance.
Diamond Blitz won't go down in history books because of its payouts, to be fair, they are probably the demise of this slot. Perhaps we are exaggerating, but the low 500x max payout doesn't bring in much of an excitement. As usual, the volatility follows, as it is on the low setting. This makes Diamond Blitz a very tame slot, not a lot of thrills to be had. On top of that, you have a low average RTP of 93%. This should make it clear that Diamond Blitz won't provide such opportunities as the new generation slots. Let's see if bonus features can bring some redemption, for the lacklustre math model.
Diamond Blitz Bonus Features
The other Wild function is known as Falling Wilds. Basically any Wilds you land on the reels will tumble down by a row after each spin, this is where the 4 row set up comes in handy. Diamond Blitz is a slot that focuses heavily on Wilds, so try to get these as much as you can. The same idea goes for the namesake feature called Blitz Mode. This bonus feature is triggered randomly, the Diamond Blitz title above will pulse a few times before the spins begin. Sometimes the game can tease you with the pulse and not give you the bonus in the end. But, when it does, you start off with 5 spins. Same as in the main game, the Wilds fall a row down after each spin, but, when they reach the bottom, they stay there until the bonus spins come to an end. These Diamond Blitz wilds can also stack upon each other, so a full screen of wilds technically is possible.
If your sole purpose of slots is the financial gain then you will be better off with games like Reel Keeper and Pirates Plenty, as Diamond Blitz just doesn't have that same firepower. At some points, it can be a fun slot, but that's as far is it goes – a momentary spur of entertainment. Most of these classical slots don't come with big payouts and generous returns, so it's not like Diamond Blitz is an oddity among the fellow fruit machines. For that reason alone, we can say that Diamond Blitz isn't the worst display we've seen from Red Tiger, but it will only attract a very narrow selection of players.
